When upgrading to LiFePO4 batteries from lead acid, it is possible to downsize your battery (sometimes up to 50%) while keeping the same runtime. The RB 12 Volt 170 Amp deep cycle battery charges faster and lasts longer with no maintenance required. They can also efficiently complete 3500 charging cycles at 100% depth of discharge with no long-term effects on battery life. The discharge ability allows Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries to last up to 10 times longer than lead-acid batteries when used for the same application.

Critical Note: The RB170 cannot be wired in any series connection. They can be connected in parallel to increase amp hour capacity, however, please contact us for more information onthe manufacturer’s recommendation for the maximum number of units in parallel.

RELiON Battery Management System (BMS)

In the case of unsafe operating conditions, RELiON batteries have a built-in Battery Management System that will shut off the battery to protect the cells and your system. The BMS manages and protects the cells from over or under-voltage, over current, high temperature or external short-circuiting.

Important Note: RELiON’s warranty is 10 years total. The first 3 years include free product replacement and the following 7 years are prorated. Years 4 and 5 are 20% off of the listed battery replacement price and years 6-10 are 10% off the listed battery replacement price.
