No high pressure tactics, we were put in contact with a technical person when we had more questions about different options, and we were quickly given estimates for the different setups we were looking for. The team was accurate with their estimated install dates and length and were in contact with me throughout the process. Fire mountain also took care of permits and submitting net metering applications to my utility. A truly exceptional solar power vendor. Fire Mountain Solar was responsible for designing and deploying the power system for our island property. The project involved one of the largest residential solar deployments in the county. The property is entirely off-grid. Affordable, efficient and responsive. I had 3 solar outfits bid the job. One national outfit was astronomically more and Fire Mountain and the other were almost exactly the same. I decided to go local, and I’m glad I did. We have had a bunch of contractors and vendors at our house as we try to rehab it and I’ve grown used to unresponsiveness, delays, excuses, and unclear bids. Fire Mountain has been the one exception. They were responsive and helpful, there were no overruns. They ended up having an earlier opening and said they had a 3 day window where they could fit us in. I thought to myself “3 days” for a pretty large solar project, this is gonna drag on. Sure enough they banged it out in 3 days, left no mess, and even after the inspection they were out the next day to square away the small things the inspector wanted. In the last year I have had plumbers, HVAC, builders, electricians, landscapers, fence guys, etc at our house and Fire Mountain was not only the best experience, but probably the best in every category (responsiveness, timeliness, cost, professionalism, etc). I don’t do a lot of 5 star reviews but this is an easy one.

As a general contractor/custom home builder I have the option to use anyone. I chose Fire Mountain Solar because they have done jobs for me and my clients before. Each project has gone perfectly. When it came time to put a system on my own home there was no other solar company to even consider. I am excited about seeing the benefits and I appreciate the quality work they do. We had Fire Mountain Solar install a 15 kW solar panel + 15 kWh battery system for our home on Camano Island. Our experience was overall very positive. This was a more complex installation than most (with a battery, and a propane generator backup that had to be incorporated into the build), but it all looks very good. Tim Nelson, the owner, is very knowledgeable, approachable and responsive. There are always some snafus in any project like this – the test is how well the company responds to them, and FMS did very well. I’m comfortable that if something goes wrong they will be able to come out quickly to fix it. I highly recommend this company.

We have a ranch house with no power four miles from the nearest road. Less than two years ago we decided to install a solar power system. Katee was instrumental in the entire project; from design to operation. She designed the system and walked us through the installation and start up. After a year and a half, the system shutdown with an inverter issue. We contacted Katee and she helped troubleshoot the issue over the phone. Within 30 minutes the failed component was identified. Katee determined that the failed component was under the two-year warranty and expedited the replacement part to us. Katee provided video links to part replacement, which was very helpful. Parts were replaced and by phone, Katee walked us through the startup and the final adjustments. We gave Fire Mountain Solar a five-star rating in every area and are totally satisfied with the products and service. We highly recommend Fire Mountain Solar for any off-grid power system.
