The Radian Series FPR-4048A-300AFCI is a Grid/Hybrid, full-flexibility, grid-interactive/off-grid Inverter/Charger that is engineered toward one goal: making system design and installation easier and faster in grid-interactive and comprehensive off-grid applications. The 4kW OutBack inverter is ideal for smaller power applications including homes, cabins, remote communication sites and backup power systems.

About The Product
The Radian GS4048A-300AFCI includes two very significant technologies not found in the original Radian design: Advanced Battery Charging (ABC), and OutBack’s GridZero technology. OutBack’s ABC provides enhanced diagnostics for improved performance while also supporting cutting-edge battery technologies such as Lithium-Ion and many others. GridZero technology delivers a superior level of intelligence in energy management for self-generation and self-consumption programs. It precisely balances using stored energy, solar and utility power, blending-in the latter to overcome surges and load spikes when needed. GridZero operation makes it possible for a smaller inverter and battery system to perform like a much larger one when required, putting stored and renewable energy sources to work and minimizing grid dependence. GridZero technology makes all Radian inverters ideal for use in complex utility environments such as California and Hawaii.
About the new SA Standard:
As more PV is installed on electrical grids, grid operators need flexible tools to help ensure stability and reliability. Areas with the highest PV penetration rates (Hawaii and California) will soon require grid interconnected systems to have “Grid Support” functions. OutBack Power is certifying the Radian Series inverter/chargers (along with the FXR Series in the near future) under the new UL 1741 SA test standard to demonstrate compliance with these new requirements from CA Rule 21 and HECO Rule 14H.
